Mighty Shadow, born as Winston Bailey on February 4, 1941, in San Fernando, Trinidad and Tobago, was a renowned calypsonian known for his unique style and powerful lyrics. He gained popularity in the calypso music scene for his storytelling ability and social commentary. Mighty Shadow was particularly recognized for his contributions to the genre during the 1970s and 1980s. His music often reflected themes of culture, spirituality, and social issues. He passed away on February 16, 2023.
