Mighty Sparrow is a renowned calypso and soca singer, songwriter, and guitarist from Trinidad. Born on July 9, 1935, in Grand Roy, Grenada, he gained fame with his 1956 song "Jean and Dinah (When The Yankees Gon)," which established him as one of the most recognized calypso performers.
