Miguel Flores is a Peruvian musician, composer, and producer born in 1951 in Lima. He began his musical journey at the age of 13, playing drums in a school band called The Loop's from 1965 to 1968. He then moved on to Thee Image, where he played from 1968 to 1970, before gaining fame as the drummer for PAX from 1971 to 1975. Flores later founded Ave Acústica, which he led from 1975 to 1978, and La Orquesta Integral del Sol in 1979, aiming to fuse Peruvian folk music with modern concepts. In addition to his band work, he has composed music for theater, dance, ballet, and movies, and he continues to compose to this day.
