Mikalojus Konstantinas Ciurlionis was a Lithuanian painter and composer, born on 22 September 1875 in Senoji Varėna, Russian Empire (now Lithuania). He passed away on 10 April 1911 in Pustelnik (Marki), Russian Empire (now Poland). Throughout his brief life, Ciurlionis composed approximately 250 pieces of music and created around 300 paintings.
