Mike James Kirkland, born in 1949 in Yazoo City, Mississippi, is an American R&B singer. He moved to Los Angeles in the mid-1950s, where he became the lead singer of Mike & the Censations alongside his brothers, Robert and Walter. Mike also co-founded a record label, Bryan Records, with his brother Robert, who owns the imprint. For one album released under Claridge, he simplified his name to 'Bo'.
