Mike Laure was a Mexican cumbia musician, singer, and orchestra leader, born on September 29, 1937, in El Salto, Jalisco, México. He formed his band in 1957, creating a fusion of tropical rhythms with American rock & roll. Laure passed away in Ciudad de México on November 19, 2000.
