Mike Okri is a Nigerian singer who made a significant impact on the music scene in 1988 with his debut LP, Concert Fever. He was part of the Nigerian pop generation alongside artists like Dizzy K Falola, Felyx and Mozyx, Alex O, Alex Zitto, and Chris Mba. Okri's fresh sound quickly changed the landscape of Nigerian pop music. His album, produced by veteran Laolu Akins, featured hit singles such as "Omoge," an ode to the bold new breed of Lagos women, and "Time Na Money," which emphasized the importance of time management and planning. Other notable tracks from the album include "Orin Tun Tun," "No More Brother," "Let Your Love Show," and "Ayeme." Following the success of Concert Fever, Okri became one of the most popular new acts of the 1990s, appealing to a diverse audience across various tribes and age groups.
