Mike Oldfield, born on May 15, 1953, in Reading, Berkshire, is an English multi-instrumentalist musician and composer. His musical style blends progressive rock, folk, ethnic or world music, classical music, electronic music, New Age, and more recently, dance. Oldfield's music is often elaborate and complex, and he is best known for his iconic 1973 album "Tubular Bells," which established Virgin Records. He gained further recognition with his 1983 hit single "Moonlight Shadow" and his rendition of the Christmas piece "In Dulci Jubilo." From 1985 until 1991, he was in a relationship and has two children. He is also the brother of two siblings.
