Mike Pedicin Quintet was a pioneering band known for their "Northern band rock 'n' roll" style. They skillfully blended elements of swing, R&B, and country music, eventually evolving into a jazz ensemble. The group remained active into the 2010s. The lineup featured Mike Pedicin on alto sax, Buddy La Plata on piano, Sam Cocchia on guitar, Lou De Francis on bass, and Al Mauro on vocals and drums. In the studio, they occasionally collaborated with Dominic Arnone on guitar, Robert Sentenari on drums, and Sam "the Man" Taylor on sax.
