Mike Stuart Span was a British psychedelic rock group active in the late 1960s, based in Brighton. The band consisted of Stuart Hobday on vocals, Brian Bennett on guitar, Gary 'Roscoe' Murphy on drums, and Roger McCabe on bass. They changed their name to Leviathan when they signed to a label in early 1969. The band issued a trio of singles, but their intended debut album was cancelled at the last moment by the label president, which proved to be a crushing blow that ultimately led to the break-up of the band.
