**Bio: Mike Turtle** Mike Turtle, born in 1960 in Croydon, Surrey, UK, began his musical journey at the age of eight, learning drums and piano. He participated in school and local youth orchestras, the school jazz band, and the National Youth Jazz Orchestra, alongside various local rock bands. From 1978 to 1981, he studied percussion under James Blades at the Royal Academy of Music in London, where he also focused on piano and composition. During this period, he performed with the Royal Philharmonic Orchestra and drummed for 60s pop legend Kathy Kirby. He earned LRAM (teaching) and GRSM (graduation) diplomas. In 1983, he recorded a solo album under the name Michal Turtle, released by Shout Records. After relocating to Switzerland in 1988, he worked as a programmer, arranger, composer, and producer, creating jingles for radio and TV. He collaborated with a wide range of artists and projects, including Wake Up 93, Pingu, Novartis, It's Five to Twelve, and many others. In 2001, Mike composed music for the equitainment production "Le Prince." He launched his own project “dust” in 1999, which later evolved into “wearedust,” featuring Jessica Knoll.
