Mike Vernon was a British producer, engineer, musician, and music executive, born on 20 November 1944 in Harrow, Middlesex, England. He was the founder of a label distributed through CBS and Polydor and played a key role as a producer for numerous British blues artists and groups during the late 1960s, particularly for Peter Green's projects. Before embarking on his engineering and production career, Vernon played in a few bands. He began his work with several blues artists at Blue Horizon and later expanded his repertoire to include a wide range of genres and artists. His diverse portfolio features collaborations with various musicians, including some under the pseudonym 'Eric Rondo.' Vernon was associated with several labels, including his own, as well as others that revived the works of Blues, Jazz, Funk, and Soul artists. He passed away on 2 March 2026. He was the brother of an unspecified individual and owned a label that is not mentioned in detail.
