Mikki Farrow was an American singer and songwriter born in Detroit, Michigan. In the mid-1960s, she met and married a saxophonist. Around 1968, she moved to Philadelphia and became involved with the emerging Sound of Philadelphia. Mikki worked as a songwriter and background vocalist, recording early on with various artists, including "I Just Can't Stop Dancin'" by Jerry Butler, and participating in sessions for "The Ice Man Cometh" and "Ice on Ice." She co-wrote several classics for Jerry Butler. Her collaborations with notable figures in the music industry led to a partnership with a writer and producer who helped her create solo material. Her best-charting record was "Love Emergency," which reached #59. Before this success, she recorded songs like "Could It Be" and "Set My Heart At Ease." In the late 1980s, Mikki returned to Chicago, where she reconnected with the brother of Jerry Butler. They dated, married, and moved back to Philadelphia, where she started an evangelistic ministry and pursued her passion for Gospel music. Mikki Farrow passed away on February 12, 2002.
