Mile Kolarov is a distinguished Kaval (Shepherd flute) player from Yugoslav Macedonia and a folk dance teacher. With thirty years of experience as a musician, he has been a part of the Tanec folk dance group in Skopje. He is also a regular musician with the Orkestar Narodnih Instrumentata Radio-Televizija Skopje (RTS) folk band. Throughout his career, Kolarov has performed with various ensembles, including the Pece Atanasovski Ensemble, Ansambl Branko Milenovic, and the Georgi Dimcevski Ensemble. In the United States, he arranged the Novo Selo album for an American band during 1976-77. He has also contributed his musical talents to the folk dance group KUD Kitka in Dracevo. Kolarov toured Australia in 1979 as a musician and dance teacher with the four-piece band Orkestar Grupa Pecalbari, which released the album "Dojdavme-Macedonian Dances" in 1980, recorded in Sydney and released as LP 2MBS-FM 80101, along with a video. Over his career, Mile Kolarov has appeared on more than 10 LPs and EPs for various labels, including Jugoton, Monitor, Atone, 2MBS-FM, and Folkraft.
