Minguito, whose real name is Domingos Luís Garcia, was born in the Bengo district of Caxito village, in the Kijoão Mendes neighborhood. He lost his vision completely at the age of 14. Despite this challenge, he showcased his talent for musical art, starting with the harmonica and later learning to play the accordion. In Caxito, he formed his first musical group called "Os 3 Jovens de Caxito" before embarking on a solo career, during which he recorded several songs. Minguito is notable for his prolific output, being second only to Urbano de Castro in the number of recorded vinyls. He collaborated with prominent groups from the 70s, such as "Os Kiezos," "África Ritmos," and "Conjunto Os Merengues," performing in both Portuguese and Kimbundu.
