Mira Calix (born October 28, 1969, in Durban, South Africa - died March 25, 2022, in Bedford, England) was an electronic musician and sound artist. She moved to London in 1991 and was involved in promoting the Telepathic Fish parties. From 1994 to 1997, she worked as a publicist at Warp Records and released several works under the label. Mira Calix was known for her music in installations, sound sculptures, and collaborations with opera and theatre companies, including Opera North and the Royal Shakespeare Company. She was married from the late 1990s until her death, although the couple had separated in the mid-2000s.
