Miranda Martino, born on October 29, 1933, in Moggio Udinese, is an Italian singer who made her debut in 1955 at a RAI competition for new voices aimed at selecting participants for the 1956 Festival di Sanremo. Although she did not reach the final, she secured a record contract and began participating in various radio and TV shows. In 1957, she made her first appearance at the Festival di Napoli, returning for the next two years, while her debut at the Festival di Sanremo occurred in 1959. That same year, she achieved significant success with the song "Stasera tornerò," which was the theme for the TV show "La donna che lavora." Throughout the early 1960s, she became one of Italy's most popular singers, participating in major musical events such as Festival di Sanremo, Canzonissima, and Cantagiro 1962. In 1963, Miranda began her theatrical career, performing alongside notable actors like Erminio Macario and Nino Taranto, while still remaining active in music. She released two albums in 1963 and 1967 that received acclaim, featuring famous Neapolitan themes arranged by Ennio Morricone. She also participated in three additional editions of "Canzonissima" and various TV shows.
