Miroslav Vitouš is a Czech jazz bassist, composer, band leader, and educator, born on December 6, 1947, in Prague. He was a U.S. resident from 1966 to 1988 and is a cofounder of a notable musical group in 1970. He is also the brother and son of prominent figures, though their names are not specified.
