MJ Cole is a London-based musician and producer, best known for his contributions to the UK Garage scene. He began his career as an in-house engineer at a Jungle/Drum'n'Bass label and its Hip Hop and Breaks affiliates. In 1997, he was introduced to UK Garage by collaborators and DJs from the London Underground pirate radio station, with whom he worked to produce tracks. He established his own label in 1998 and another in 2016. In 2000, he was signed by a major label, where he released his first and second albums. In 2020, he returned to his classical music roots with his third album.
