MKRNI (Makaroni) is an electronic music band formed in Santiago, Chile, in 2008, consisting of members Marcelo Miopec, Roman S, and Elisita Punto. The band fuses dance rhythms with psychedelic influences, incorporating Latin and Andean sounds into their music. Known for their energetic live performances, MKRNI creates fully immersive dance parties using synthesizers, keyboards, drum machines, multivocal effects, and various percussion instruments. The band's debut album, “Maca & Roni Deluxe,” was released in 2009, followed by their second album, “JUMPER,” in 2011. In December 2011, they released “Playa Futuro” online and on vinyl through Hueso Records. MKRNI has completed five international tours, including stops on the East Coast of the USA, Argentina, SXSW, Europe, Brazil, and California. In Santiago, they regularly perform at various venues and dance parties, sharing the stage with acts like Geneva Jacuzzi, Surtek Collective, and Hercules and the Love Affair. MKRNI is affiliated with Madhaus Records in Chile and collaborates with Hueso Records in Brooklyn, USA.
