Mo Foster (22 December 1944 – 3 July 2023) was a British session bassist, songwriter, producer, solo artist, and author. He began his professional career in 1968 after studying physics and mathematics at the University of Sussex. Over the years, he provided his services, both live and in the studio, to over 80 chart artists and contributed to numerous TV themes and film soundtracks. Foster was also a member of several bands. In recent years, he focused on his solo releases while still taking on session work when opportunities arose.
