Moderne is a musical group founded in 1979 in Tours, south of Paris. Their self-titled release, 'Moderne', came out in 1980 and featured a lineup that included Gérard Lévy as composer and producer, Thierry Teyssou as songwriter and producer, Bernard Guimond as singer, and Patrick Millerioux as a video artist. For their subsequent two releases, the lineup changed to include Gérard Lévy, Thierry Teyssou (who took on the roles of composer, songwriter, singer, and producer), Dominique Marchetti as singer, and Patrick Millerioux as video artist. The second two releases were recorded at their own studio and mixed at a Dusseldorf studio that was previously used by Kraftwerk for their first two albums.
