Moe Koffman Quartet is a jazz band from Toronto, Canada, formed in 1955. The group consists of Moe Koffman on flute, Ed Bickert on guitar, Hugh Currie on bass, and Ron Rully on drums. They gained significant recognition with their 1957 recording of "Swinging Shepherd Blues," which established Koffman as a prominent flautist and solidified the quartet's status as a popular international jazz act. The single achieved notable success, reaching #4 in Canada, #38 on the Billboard pop chart in the United States, and #23 on the Singles Chart in the UK.
