Mogwai is a Scottish post-rock band formed in Glasgow in 1995 by Stuart Braithwaite (guitars, vocals), Dominic Aitchison (guitars), and Martin Bulloch (drums). John Cummings joined the band soon after as an additional guitarist. Brendan O'Hare, formerly of Teenage Fanclub, temporarily joined the band in 1997 and contributed to their debut LP, "Young Team," before leaving at the end of that year. After touring with Mogwai in the summer of 1998, multi-instrumentalist Barry Burns was invited to join the band as a full-time member.
