Monster Magnet is a stoner/hard rock band hailing from Red Bank, New Jersey, USA. The band was formed in 1989 initially under the name Dog Of Mystery. Throughout that same year, they underwent several name changes, becoming Airport 75, Triple Bad Acid, King Fuzz, before finally settling on Monster Magnet. The band's lineup has seen various changes over the years. The current members include the vocalist, guitarist, and keyboardist who has been with the band since its inception, a guitarist who joined in 2008 after a previous stint from 1998 to 2005, a drummer who has been part of the band since 2004, a guitarist who joined in 2010, and a bassist who became a member in 2020. Monster Magnet has also had several past members, including a vocalist who was with the band from 1989 to 1993 and passed away in 2025, a guitarist from 1989 to 1992, a bassist and drummer who were both part of the band from 1989 to 2003, a guitarist who played from 1992 to 2010, a bassist from 2003 to 2013, a drummer from 2003 to 2004, and a bassist who was with the band from 2014 to 2020.
