Moor Mother, whose real name is Camae Ayewa, has been active since 2012. She produces a unique sound described as blk girl blues, project housing bop, and black ghost songs. Her early records featured a dark, almost industrial atmosphere created through collages and electronic manipulations. Over time, she has delved deeper into her artistry, blending hip hop and free jazz with her initial experimental work.
