Morly Grey was a psychedelic rock band formed in Alliance, Ohio, active from 1969 to 1972. The original lineup consisted of Tim Roller on guitar, Mark Roller on bass, and Paul Cassidy on drums, with Randy Byron, previously of the Comin' Generation, briefly joining as a guitarist. During the recording sessions, Cassidy was unable to perform, leading to Bob LaNave stepping in on drums. As a result, each side of their LP was recorded at different studios with different drummers. The band released their first single, "Who Can I Say You Are," from their album "The Only Truth," which came out in 1972. There is some confusion regarding the album's release date, as some sources list it as 1969, likely due to the album's serial number, 69000, on the Starshine label. Prior to the LP, they self-released a rare 45 titled "Sleepy Softness," which featured a lighter style and a backward version of the same song on the flip side. The original vinyl LP has become a collector’s item due to its rarity and consistent quality, and it included a full-size color poster. However, collectors should be cautious, as the LP has been counterfeited. In the 1980s, Floyd Philips, the owner of the Starshine label, released a 45 of two old outtakes with a picture sleeve. Their discography includes the following releases: (45) "
