Morton Subotnick (born April 14, 1933, in Los Angeles, California, USA) is an American composer known for his contributions to electronic music and his innovative works that incorporate instruments and various media, including interactive computer music systems. His compositions often include a computer component or live electronic processing, reflecting significant technological advancements in the genre. In the early 1960s, Subotnick co-founded a group and was also a founding member of another organization, where he taught for many years. He is married to a collaborator.
