**Bio: Morttimer Snerd III** Born and raised in Chicago to Belizean parents, Morttimer Snerd III's musical journey began at birth, influenced by his surroundings. His early experiences included guitar and piano lessons, as well as participation in choirs, until he discovered the Hot Mix 5 and Prince, which inspired him to pursue a career as both a producer and DJ. During his military service, Morttimer started his professional DJ career spinning in clubs on Army bases, while also playing guitar, bass, keys, and drums in various bands. After returning to Chicago, he secured a mix show position at WGCI, the city's top radio station, in the fall of 1993. His unique blends of House, Old School, Hip Hop, R&B, and Reggae quickly established him as a household name. Over the years, Morttimer has mixed for notable syndicated shows like SuperRadio, Tom Joyner, and Doug Banks, and has produced and remixed tracks for prominent artists including Steve ‘Silk’ Hurley, Joe Smooth, DJ Kool, Janet Jackson, Erick Sermon, Tyrese, George Clinton, and Faith Evans. His production journey led to collaborations with Michele and Jaman Laws, resulting in the jazzy-funky dance album “Brio As In Rio.” He founded his record label, MMP Records, with fellow Chicago DJ Raphael, selling instrumental downtempo R&B tracks for local dancers.
