Moses Boyd is a British drummer, composer, producer, and electronic musician born on April 30, 1991, in London, England. He is a distinguished winner of several awards, including the 2014 Worshipful Company of Music Young Jazz Musician of the Year, the MOBO Awards 2015 Best Jazz Act, and the John Peel 'Play More Jazz Award' at the 2016 Gilles Peterson Worldwide Awards. Boyd has collaborated with notable artists such as Lonnie Liston Smith, Ed Motta, Little Simz, Four Tet, Floating Points, Sampha, Zara McFarlane, and Gilles Peterson. He leads his own groups, The Exodus and Solo Exodus, which blend jazz, grime, and electronic influences. His album, released in 2020, was nominated for the Mercury Music Prize that same year. Additionally, Boyd releases music under his own label.
