Motohiko Hamase (濱瀬元彦) is a Japanese jazz bassist and ambient musician, born on April 15, 1952, in Aichi, Japan. He has been active in the Japanese jazz scene since the 1970s and shifted his focus to ambient music in the mid-1980s.
