Mott The Hoople was a British rock band active from 1969 until 1974, with occasional reunions starting in 2009. The classic era lineup included Ian Hunter on vocals and guitar, Mick Ralphs on guitar, Verden Allen on keyboards, Peter Overend Watts on bass, and Dale "Buffin" Griffin on drums. After Ian Hunter's departure in 1974, two follow-on bands emerged, active from 1974 to 1976 and again from 1977 to 1980. Additionally, an unofficial or "fake" band re-recorded Mott The Hoople tracks around 1996/97.
