Moving Gelatin Plates was a French progressive rock and fusion band active in the early 1970s. They drew strong influence from Canterbury bands such as Soft Machine and Caravan, and are often compared to the Dutch band Supersister. The band later shortened their name due to contractual ties and released a third album. After a long hiatus, they reformed in 2006 and issued the album "Removing." Their history is further documented in an anthology album on Monster Melodies, which includes early sessions and live recordings, bridging the gap between their CBS records and the Moving LP.
