Pete Saunders, known by his alias Mr. Bongo, began his musical career in the 1980s, playing Hammond Organ on the first album of an unnamed group and collaborating with various artists, including Carmel. In 1995, he released an upbeat, housey cover of Booker T & The MG's classic "Soul Limbo" under the Mr. Bongo name. Today, he plays piano and sings a diverse range of styles, from New Orleans blues to jazz and swing standards, while also collaborating with other musicians in duos and groups.
