**Bio: Mr. Monday (Simon Monday)** Simon Monday, known as Mr. Monday, has been a significant figure in the evolution of electronic music since the early days of acid house. He purchased his first synthesizer in 1981 and spent several years experimenting with sounds, drawing inspiration from artists like DAF, PIL, and Giorgio Moroder. In 1984, he relocated to London to immerse himself further in the electronic music scene, where he connected with influential figures such as Mix Master Morris and Tony Thorpe. His first production, “Keep On,” was released in 1986 on Greedy Beat Records under the name Mister Monday. The track caught the attention of a young Judge Jules in 1989, who collaborated with Monday to create the reworked version “Appreciate,” featuring vocals from Debbigne Curry. This collaboration opened doors for live performances, including notable venues like Solaris and the inaugural Live at the Brain Performance, where he worked with Sean McKlusky on the band IF, leading to a major deal with MCA. In 1990, Monday released the rave anthem “Future” on Judge Jules and Roy The Roache’s Elevation Inc Recordings. Despite distribution challenges, the track became a sought-after classic among DJs, notably Tony Humphries. In 1992, he formed Jetslags with Adamski and Hathem Al Sayed, producing the record “Be Strong” featuring Elliot Sly and several remixes. Their live set at
