Murphy's Law is an American hardcore punk band formed in 1982 in New York City, New York. The band is fronted by vocalist Jimmy Gestapo, the only founding member still active. Over the years, their lineup has included former members from notable bands such as Skinnerbox, Danzig, The Bouncing Souls, Mucky Pup, Dog Eat Dog, Hanoi Rocks, Agnostic Front, Warzone, Cro-Mags, and D Generation. Throughout their career, Murphy's Law has released five full-length albums, with the most recent one coming out in 2001. On May 4, 2011, it was announced that the band signed with I Scream Records, which planned to release their first studio album of original material since "The Party's Over" in 2001, along with reissues of their back catalog. These reissued albums were made available on CD, digital download, and vinyl in 2014, featuring previously unreleased bonus tracks. However, as of now, the new album of original material has yet to be released.
