Mystic Eyes is a Jamaican Roots Reggae vocal trio formed by Anthony Johnson, Les Clarke, and Balvin Fials. Johnson spent considerable time at the Rasta camp on Selassie Drive, where he met Clarke and Fials. The trio recorded several tracks with Linval Thompson, which Johnson released as the album Mysterious in the UK in 1979 without their knowledge. Some of these tracks were later included in the 2009 Perilous Time Showcase album released by Johnson. Mystic Eyes also recorded three tracks for Lee "Scratch" Perry at his Black Ark studio, with the single "Forward With Jah Orthodox" released by Perry on his Black Art label.
