Mystica Tribe is the musical alias of Tokyo-based producer Taka Noda, who began his journey in 2010 after working with various bands and units. His sound is characterized as "downer psychedelic music influenced by dub, bass music, soul, and garage," and has garnered support in the underground scene. Noda debuted in September 2011 with the "Meditation Stick EP" released by SD Records in Rotterdam, followed by the "Flowers EP" and "Stars Are Mine EP" in 2013. His track "His Temple" was featured on Pangaea’s "FABRICLIVE 73" mix CD in January 2014. That same year, he founded his own label, Mystica Tribe Records, releasing the "Lizard EP" as its first project and the "Jade Eye EP" in 2016. In 2017, Noda released his first album, "Island Oasis," and a 7-inch record titled "Far West Sound" through Silent Season. He followed this with "Love Is All Right" on Solar Phenomena in 2018 and the remix album "DJ Sotofett's Dub Ash Mixes" in 2019. In 2020, he collaborated with the Vegetable Orchestra on "Transplants (Mystica Tribe Version)," released by Transacoustic Research.
