**Bio: Nadagen** Nadagen was formed in the first half of 1982 in Amsterdam, initially as Doheo’s Nadagen, by founding members Marc Josten (vocalist), Peter Simons (bass player), and Rob Besjes (guitarist). The trio, all students with roots in the southern Netherlands, began making music for fun in Rob's apartment. Despite their minimal musical experience, they quickly created enough songs to fill a one-hour set. Their first gig took place in the spring of 1982 at a friend's house party, where they performed two sets using a borrowed Dr Rhythm drum machine. This performance led to regular rehearsals in the same location. By the end of spring, they met Lex van Moorsel, a synthesizer player who brought a broader musical background, as well as a guitar and amplifier. With the addition of a new drum machine from Japan, Nadagen became a four-piece band and began performing in and around Amsterdam. In September 1982, they recorded a demo tape featuring six songs at a semi-professional studio in Amsterdam. The demo garnered more gigs, and Marc became more confident, investing in his own microphone and amplifier. The band continued to evolve, creating new songs and recording sessions, which led to their first two 7” records released in early 1983, featuring the songs "Kult" and "Fin De Siècle."
