Najee, born on November 4, 1957, in Jamaica, Queens, NYC, is a renowned smooth jazz artist known for his mastery of the saxophone (soprano, alto, and tenor), clarinet, flute, and keyboards. He has released several solo albums and has collaborated with notable artists such as Freddie Jackson, Will Downing, Jeffrey Osborne, Marcus Miller, Paul Jackson Jr., and George Duke. Najee also made an appearance as himself in the horror film 'Def by Temptation,' which starred Samuel L. Jackson. He is the brother of a guitarist and producer who has contributed to much of his work.
