Naked City is an infamous band led by John Zorn, known for their ability to seamlessly transition between various musical styles. Primarily characterized by their noisy and complex compositions, their music often features beautiful melodies that can abruptly shift into chaotic bursts of white noise, only to transform again. The band combines aggressive elements of jazz and heavy metal, presenting a tight and dynamic sound. With a lineup that includes drums, electric guitar, bass, keyboards, and saxophone, they resemble a traditional rock band. Formed in 1988, Naked City performed live before releasing their first album under John Zorn's name. They recorded their final album in December 1992.
