Naked Eyes is a band that was formed in 1979 in Bath, U.K. They initially started under a different name before renaming themselves to release two albums in 1983 and 1984, produced by a notable figure with whom they had recorded a single in 1982. The group was one of the first to emerge during the second British invasion of the U.S. charts, achieving success with their rendition of the classic "Always Something There To Remind Me," which peaked at No. 8 on the U.S. pop chart in 1983 and reached No. 59 in the U.K. pop chart. They followed this with "Promises, Promises," which reached No. 11 in 1983; the 12" extended mix featured vocals from another artist. After their U.S. success, they released the single "(What) In The Name Of Love," which peaked at No. 39 on the U.S. pop chart in 1984. Following the death of a key member on August 25, 1999, another member released a solo album in 2001 and later reactivated the Naked Eyes name for a cover album in 2007.
