**Naked Truth Biography** Naked Truth is a punk/hardcore/thrash metal quartet formed in 1988 in Atlanta, Georgia, emerging from the local hardcore scene. The band consists of vocalist Doug Watts, who hails from Detroit, bassist Jeff from Harlem, New York, drummer Bernard Dawson from Los Angeles, and Jimmie Westley, the only member native to Georgia, from Savannah. Initially facing challenges as a black metal band in Georgia, Naked Truth gained attention when their dreadlocked singer, Doug Watts, caught the eye of former The Clash manager Bernie Rhodes, leading to a deal with Sony. The band relocated to London, where they replaced their original bassist Jeff, who left due to homesickness, with London-born Kwame Boaten. Naked Truth released their debut mini-album, "Green With Rage!" in 1991, showcasing their raw, aggressive sound infused with jazz and funk influences. They followed up with another EP, "Read Between the Lines," the next year. The band toured with acts like Scat Opera and Little Angels, building a cult following in London. Their album "Fight," released in 1993, blended diverse genres such as jazz and death metal, and they toured extensively throughout Europe. However, their planned tour with Motörhead was canceled due to Lemmy's health issues, and the band was eventually dropped from Sony's roster. After a two-decade hiatus, Naked Truth released "The Cure" LP in 2013
