The Nashville Teens are a British beat band that originated in Weybridge, Surrey, in 1962. They gained recognition as part of the wave of British bands performing in Hamburg, Germany, and later achieved a level of success in the United States. Notably, they were among the first groups, alongside The Spencer Davis Group, to be invited to play in Hungary in 1967, where they developed a significant and loyal fanbase that continues to this day. After the departure of Arthur Sharp in 1972, Ray Phillips remained as the sole original member. The band disbanded in 1973 but was reformed by Phillips in 1980. Between 1973 and 1980, Phillips toured Hungary with various lineups under the name The Nashville Teens.
