Natacha Atlas is a Belgian singer born on March 20, 1964. She gained prominence in the 1990s as an Arabic-singing vocalist with the group Transglobal Underground. This success paved the way for her solo career, initially in the worldbeat genre, which was popular at the time, and later in a more classic style of traditional Egyptian pop.
