Natalie Cole was an American soul, pop, and jazz singer-songwriter, born on February 6, 1950, in Los Angeles, California. She was the daughter of a notable musician and was also related to other prominent figures in the music industry. Cole was married to the songwriting and producing duo member Marvin Yancy from 1976 until their divorce in 1980. She later married producer Andre Fischer in 1989, but they divorced in 1995. Her career began in 1976, and she gained recognition for her vocal style, which earned her the label of "new" in the mid-70s. Throughout her career, she received nine Grammy Awards, with her last award in 2009. Among her many hits are "This Will Be (An Everlasting Love)," "I've Got Love On My Mind," "Our Love," and notable duets, including "Over You" and "I Do." She also released a duets album with her father and virtual duets after his passing. Cole is remembered for her covers of various songs, including Bruce Springsteen's "Pink Cadillac," which marked a successful comeback after her struggles with drug addiction, as well as renditions of "Lucy in the Sky with Diamonds," "When A Man Loves A Woman," "Good Morning Heartache," "Oh, Daddy," "Stairway To The Stars," and "These Eyes." She passed away on December 31, 2015, in Los Angeles
