Nate Smith, born on December 14, 1974, in Norfolk, Virginia, is an American jazz drummer and a producer, songwriter, and three-time Grammy nominee known for his work in R&B, soul, and funk. Based in New York City, he also records in Nashville. In 2009, he established his own production company.
