Nathan Fake (b. 3 March 1983, King's Lynn, Norfolk) is a British electronic musician and producer based in Norwich. He has been signed by a leading UK electronic label since 2016 and releases music through this label, including his latest album in April 2023. Growing up in Norfolk, Nathan began making music in high school, inspired by IDM acts he heard on the radio and further exploring these artists and their equipment through music magazines. In 2003, he met a key figure in the industry who signed him to his label, releasing his debut 12" EP. Following this, Nathan released more records on a US-based label, a German label, and a French label. His debut full-length album was released in March 2006 and received positive reviews from Pitchfork and other publications. In 2014, Nathan co-founded a new venture with a fellow Border Community alumni. As a remix producer, he has collaborated with several prominent musicians and labels. In September 2016, Nathan was signed by one of the leading UK electronic labels, which released his 12" EP later that year. He presented his fourth studio album, a 2xLP/CD, in the spring of 2017, featuring guest musicians and receiving favorable reviews, including an "Album of the Week" mention from Bleep. Later that year, a two-part Providence Reworks EP was released with remixes from various artists.
