Natural Elements is a hip-hop group that originated in 1993 when producer Charlemagne brought together a collective of solo artists. Initially signed to Fortress Records, the original lineup included Mr. Voodoo, L-Swift, KA, G-Blass, Howie Smalls, and the InTimidator. By 1995, the group had narrowed its members down to Mr. Voodoo, L-Swift, and the newly-added A-Butta. The trio gained recognition through numerous performances on the NYC freestyle and mixtape circuits, leading to a record deal with the Tommy Boy Black sublabel. In 1999, they released the single "2 Tons." Despite completing their highly-anticipated album, it was ultimately shelved due to issues with Tommy Boy, and the album was never released.
