Neal Francis, born Neal Francis O’Hara on September 4, 1988, in Livingston, New Jersey, is an American singer, songwriter, and musician based in Chicago. A talented pianist and keyboard player, Francis began his professional music career as a teenager, touring Europe by the age of 18 with Muddy Waters’ son and supporting various prominent blues artists across the country. In 2012, he joined the Chicago instrumental funk band The Heard, where he took on a creative leadership role that helped the band evolve into a national act, touring with The New Mastersounds and The Revivalists, and performing at notable events such as the New Orleans Jazz & Heritage Fest and Bear Creek. Despite the band's success, Francis left The Heard in 2015. He made his solo debut in 2019 with his first album, followed by a second album in 2021.
